David Sousa in an interview with “Supply Chain Magazine”

The theft of goods is rapidly increasing and poses a threat to the Transport & Logistics industry. How can companies react to this scenario?

This was one of the issues addressed by David Sousa in the latest edition of Supply Chain Magazine, one of the leading B2B media specialised in the logistics industry in the country, stating that one of the growing trends is the use of freight exchanges by criminal networks that, by creating fictitious companies, manage to gain access to valuable goods.

“There are already situations in which criminal networks acquire real transport companies, which are already registered in freight exchanges, which have insurance, which have an approval, which have a financial history, which have a reputation in the market. […] Then, they bid for high-value loads and disappear with them”, points out David Sousa.

From the possible financial and reputational impacts of this situation to the main defensive strategies that may be adopted by companies, find out the solutions pointed out by the Director of SEMPER in the following link.
